Hi, I'm Mamaw

Hi, I'm Debbie, aka Mamaw. It is so nice of you to visit!  I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, two beautiful children, a darling daughter-in-law and two impossibly cute grandsons. Mamaw's Bag is my new passion/hobby since my retirement from the business world in 2025.

The story behind the name of this website is simple. Since my first grandson was very little, I would take a bag of activities that I thought he would enjoy each time I visited. I knew he had a million toys and his parents didn't have room for any more, but I just couldn't walk in empty handed. So, it became my mission to take random items and some hopeful ideas of how to turn them into something fun (and sometimes educational) that we could do together.  As soon as he was able to talk, he would greet me excitedly at the door and ask, "what is in mamaw's bag?".

I believe that every small moment is a chance to make memories, so I've created this space to share the simple activities that I have tried over the years. Some were great, some were not, but what works for one child doesn't always work for another. So browse my ideas and see what ideas it might spark for your family. All of the activities and downloads are free. However, as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases made directly through links on this site. This does not add any extra cost for you and it helps pay for website expenses and the time I spend developing, testing, writing, and posting new activities.

Currently, my grandsons are small, so most of the activities here are for toddlers & preschoolers, but as they grow so will this website. I'm so glad you are along for the ride! If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can contact me through the button below my picture.

Remember, when you're planning activities, don't get stuck on details, as most of the time the activity I had in mind changed completely when toddler/preschooler creativity kicked in. Just use these as jump-starter ideas and go with the kiddo flow!

Time goes by so quickly - enjoy every moment with your tiny humans!
